Are you watching the 2019 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend? Keep your eyes peeled for BOOMi! 

UP Studios and Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana is proud to announce that BOOMi, the star of the #1-rated animated series in China, Super BOOMi, is heading to the 2019 NHL Fan Fair™ presented by SAP, the official fan festival of the 2019 Honda NHL® All-Star Weekend™.

Taking place from January 24-27 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, BOOMi will be featured as a family ambassador in partnership with The National Hockey League (NHL) alongside all 29 NHL Mascots™.

Created by Trevor Lai, Canadian-based CEO and Founder of UP Studios, the 3D-animated series follows the adventures of BOOMi bear and his best friends as they play and learn in an incredible virtual reality game universe. Focusing on themes of friendship, positivity and the power of imagination, Super BOOMi features vibrant characters and expansive worlds that resonate with kids on a fundamental level.

The San Jose Sharks and city of San Jose are hosts of the 2019 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend, from Jan. 25‑26, including the 2019 SAP NHL All-Star Skills™ on Friday, Jan. 25 (6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET, NBCSN, CBC, SN, TVAS) and the 2019 Honda NHL® All-Star Game on Saturday, Jan. 26 (5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET, NBC, CBC, SN, TVAS). The 2019 Honda NHL® All-Star Weekend marks the second time NHL All-Star activities will take place in San Jose. The Sharks previously hosted the event in 1997.
