

Shanghai – Super BOOMi, one of the top-rated new cartoon series in China over the past 4 years, recently surpassed 5 billion views online. Produced by Up Studios and co-invested by Tencent, Super BOOMi has won several awards as it’s six seasons have been broadcast on all the major networks in China as well as in Canada and France.
With 156 11-minute episodes already produced to date, Up Studios has begun production on Season 7 and 8 of the hit series.
Super BOOMi is an action-adventure series featuring BOOMi bear and his best friends as they play and learn in an exciting virtual reality game universe. One of the most unique aspects of the cartoon is its combination of creative problem-solving and computer programming as its star BOOMi uses his coding skills to bring cool inventions to life in the VR game world.
Super BOOMi has aired on CCTV-14 kids channel and Hunan TV Golden Eagle Cartoon, and most notably, the cartoon also was broadcast on CCTV-1, which is the nation's largest channel, broadcast into every household in the country.
New achievements have been made in Super BOOMi’s licensing, with Up Studios partnering with leading toy manufacturer JUMPGO for the first transformable action figures and vehicles based on Super BOOMi. The toys have been launched throughout offline retail partners and supermarkets across Greater China, and also are released on Super BOOMi’s own online shop. In addition, Up Studios has signed a licensing deal with medical-device company KENPAX for BOOMi-branded Surgi-Plus masks. Up Studios' in-house design team created a new assortment of graphic designs with vibrant colors to attract children from ages 4 to 12 years old.
Super BOOMi’s success has expanded internationally as well. The cartoon debuted on Treehouse TV in Canada in spring 2019 and topped ratings on the network among boys and girls ages 2-5 in its debut. Super BOOMi was picked up by Mediacorp Channel 5 and Canal+ in 2020, and Season 1-2’s international distributor Nelvana has also sold the show to Thailand, Singapore and the Middle East. BOOMi is also the first character to become the family ambassador for the National Hockey League in Greater China.
With its growing popularity and new seasons in production, BOOMi's adventures will be entertaining audiences around the world for years to come.
